LauraLynn Hospice, Dublin

LauraLynn is a hospice for children with life-limiting conditions and residential care for young adults with disabilities.  They employ approximately 80 staff within their teaching, fundraising and care provision departments.

They provide palliative care and support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Their holistic approach to care enables them to support the whole family, allowing parents to be ‘Mum and Dad’ rather than full-time carers.

  • They offer support for children from birth to age 18.

  • All their care is free for families

  • Children can be referred from anywhere in Ireland

  • They are piloting a LauraLynn@HOME programme in Dublin North-East and Dublin Mid-Leinster Regions, to provide hospice care for children in the comfort of their own home.

They celebrated Hospice Week in June 2014 and Louise, our Super Sewer in Ireland got involved and managed to send some stunning capes to end off their week.

The picture below don't feature the capes on the children, due to Data Protection, it does however show the Superheros that are the staff and supporters of this amazing organisation.
